This turntable of a lion and his surroundings was a semester project in my first semester. Additionally, it was the first turnaround I ever created in Maya.
I created the model of the lion with the app Forger and retopologized it later on in Maya to avoid having too many polygons. In Maya I also added all the other models and created a UV layout for all of them. I textured the UV maps in Photoshop. After making the turntable, I imported the project into Unity to create a prettier surrounding and lighting.
Looking at the project from today's perspective, I know that creating UV layouts for all the models was super unnecessary because I just wanted the models to have one color and a simple material would've done the job much faster. I am not sure why I haven't seen that back then...
